PC Aviator Releases MegaSceneryX: Phoenix
The city of Phoenix, AZ, plus 7,000 square miles of surrounding area all recreated from aerial photography for hyper-real visual flying with Microsoft Flight Simulator X

Description

MegaSceneryX is a visual scenery add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator X that is recreated from high resolution aerial photography. It takes advantage of the new scenery engine in Flight Simulator X to display the scenery at 1.19 meters per pixel. In layman’s terms it means that the flight simulator pilot can now see detail down to cars on roads, and even small shrubs on golf courses.

The first MegaSceneryX release, Phoenix, has gone to the capital of the southwest as MegaSceneryX Phoenix recreates the city of Phoenix plus a massive 7,000 square miles of surrounding areas of the state of Arizona for visual flying with Microsoft Flight Simulator X that’s at a level of clarity that is almost as real as real life itself.

The scenery is recreated from 1 foot per pixel aerial photos provided by AirPhotoUSA, who are based in Phoenix.

While the company is not endorsing it as a flight training tool or a replacement for any flight instruction the product does enable actual real world pilots and student pilots to gain familiarity of the area for real world flight ops and VFR flying applications.

And for the typical Flight Simulator pilot – the dreamer – MegaSceneryX Phoenix brings the real Phoenix to their desktop for simulated flight in the area.

Like all titles from the MegaScenery team, NightScene™ technology is also included for realistic night flying that maps virtually every street, road and highway and uncannily resembles the same spine-tingling night flying experience you get in the real world.
